Bob Marley and the Bhagavad Gītā
Practical teachings from the heart of the yoga tradition through the lens of some of the timeless lyrics of Bob Marley.
Join us for a Soul Shakedown Party in the Borders 11-13 May 2018.
James will bring timeless practical teachings from the heart of the yoga tradition into vivid life working with the spiritual poetry of Bob Marley, one of his favourite music artists.
As a spiritually engaged artist, many of Bob Marley’s lyrics are infused with a timeless quality. This weekend, we will use some of Bob Marley’s poetry as a lens into the timeless, practical teachings of the heart of yoga.
It does not matter if you are a fan or not of Bob Marley, whether this is your first contact with practical, whole life yoga, or if you have been working with yogic principles for decades; this weekend, we can refresh and deepen our understanding of yogic principles that can help us cultivate harmony and fulfilment in all aspects of life.
Our explorations will include
– claiming sovereignty for our own experience
– cultivating unity in the broad spectrum of our lives
– how yoga teachings can help us free ourselves from the limiting bonds of our habits and conditionings
– how can we live life as a celebration that gathers towards greater unity and harmony
– how we can work with diverse yoga techniques and make them our own so they can really help us sing our own unique song and become the integrated individual we really can be.
