Fancy a delicious gluten free, vegan, nutrient dense and packed with protein, fiber and healthy fats?
YES!
So here we go.
(This recipe is from Bear Grylls Fuel For Life cookbook )
5 tbsp of chia seeds
4 heaped tbsp buckwheat flour
1 tbsp olive oil
200ml water
1 tbsp fresh rosemary
1tsp oregano
1/2 tsp salt
Preheat the oven to 175C, gas mark 4.
Mix together all the ingredients for the base using a fork or a whisk until it forms a thick batter and slowly turns into a blob, which will happen as the chia seeds start to soak up the water. If you feel it isn’t thick enough, add a little more buckwheat flour – but give it a few minutes to thicken up before doing this.
Line a round. 28cm baking tray with baking paper and lightly oil with olive oil. Drop the thick batter on the tray and spread out the mixture evenly with the back of the spoon. It wants to be just under 1 cm thick. Bake for about 40 – 45min.
Once cooked top it with all the desired ingredients.
Enjoy!
